6 things to note about hydroponic vegetables

Hydroponic system is something new to the public in recent years in Singapore.
Here are 6 things to note about hydroponic vegetables
1. Curing temperature
The environment of hydroponic vegetables should be kept warm and moist all year round. The most suitable temperature is between 10 and 25 degrees, and the minimum should be kept above 5 degrees. If the temperature is higher than 30 degrees,  plants should be placed in a cool place to avoid excessive temperature. When necessary, you can spray water around to cool it down.
2. Conserve the environment
It is not advisable to give too much light to the hydroponic vegetables. The light will easily cause green algae to grow on the container or the root system of the vegetable. After the green algae wraps the root system or the container, it will affect the root respiration of the vegetable, which will easily cause root rotten and green.
The algae spoiled will give off a bad smell. It is best to keep in a well-ventilated and brightly lit environment, avoid the environment is too dark.
3. How to use the nutrient solution correctly
To maintain hydroponic vegetables, you need to buy some special hydroponic nutrient solutions. You can’t use nutrient solutions for the vegetables at the beginning. They can only be supplemented after the vegetable roots grow well.
The nutrient solution is generally diluted 400 or 1000 times for use, and the concentration should not be too high. Generally, 4~5 drops of nutrient solution in a 500ml container is enough.
4. Change water of Hydroponic vegetable
As long as the water of hydroponic vegetables is a bit turbid, you must change the water in time, otherwise it will easily cause the water quality to deteriorate and produce bacteria. Hydroponic vegetables cured with LECA ball generally do not need to change water. After the water in the container is dry, just add water to it.
Do not soak all the vegetables in water, as this will easily cause the roots of the vegetables to rot and die. It is best to put half of the roots of vegetables in water, so that the oxygen supply to the roots of vegetables can be greatly increased, which can effectively reduce rotten roots.
5. Cultivating environment
Hydroponic vegetables do not need to be watered. Just add clear water in time when the water level drops. The curing location should be bright, and the environment should not be too closed.
6. Rotten root treatment
Be careful when changing the water. If there are dead branches or rotten roots, cut them off. Be careful not to damage the watery roots, otherwise it will affect the growth of vegetables. After discovering the rotten roots of hydroponic vegetables, we must remove all the rotten parts, including the roots and stems of the vegetables, to prevent mutual infection
