Modern Farmer Hydroponic 101 Planting method for Microgreens

Planting method for Microgreens

Almost all vegetables can be hydroponic. Without using hydroponic system you can also grow vegetable. Here’s how you can do it.
How to grow Microgreen in water? Most common Microgreen we grow was bean sprouts. Actually, it’s not just bean sprouts. Generally we know that cabbage seeds, radish seeds and other kinds of rapeseed can grow into. The seedling vegetables taste very good.
Tools/Materials
  • Generally we choose full-grained soybeans/red beans/mung beans/peas (50g)
  • One drain basin, one water basin, (Microgreen starter kit) nutrient solution, clean water

Method/Step
First soak the beans in a basin with clean water.
I chose peas, which will sprout basically in the first 2-3 days. The main concern is the ambient temperature. Generally, they grow well between 15-35 degree.
What needs to be done every day is to keep the filter basin layer still, and then change the water in the basin every 2-3 days.
Bean sprouts grow fast, usually in a week or so can be cooked, generally we can also harvest, and then continue to raise the second crop.
Note:
Add proper amount of nutrient solution to the water to grow better.
The bean sprouts needs to be consume quickly. The grown bean sprouts need a lot of nutrients to maintain every day, and they will turn yellow soon after they mature.
